Rationalizing the Blame: Is it my SEO products or is it Search Engines?
I confess. Before hearing about SEO programs and site optimization trade, I was of the opinion that Google was perfect. I Used Google to look for everything from celebrities, to visuals, to news to weird things and heedlessly trusted the findings. Then I learned about SEO products and a whole industry centered on site promotion, and my beliefs changed. But even before my revelation, after doing some philosophical musings, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and reveal to the web community a tiny portion of that.
My Google escapades soon persuaded me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image data bank, that with the assistance of Digg I can have quality news coverage without the need to rummage through Google search retrieval (rummaging seems more fitting than Google search), and people search is better administered by Facebook. It seems that every time I search for obscure objects on Google, the results are often messy, to put it kindly. Try searching for SEO applications and other SEO related themes on Google and you are just about prepared to give up your patience. I mean, come on, what’s the connection between SEO tools and career websites or online casinos? Fortunately, in my distress.
So when news of seo software review and the whole field revolving around it came into my humble worldview, my doubts about domains surfacing out on the top of Google increased manifold. Do they deserve to be there and who is to blame, Google or webmasters using SEO tools. The moral dilemma is huge. Do I stop using my SEO rank checker or do I stop using Google instead? I concluded that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not till the decent contender enters the game. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue using my SEO software.
To be honest, SEO software is the reason why people like me get found on the web. smart as they are, Google web bots are not likely to find some average guy and position his website well. In this regard, I am a firm fan of SEO products and natural search. If it was all about the cash, the corporate businesses would squish me before I knew it. And there are hundreds of businesses on the Fortune list! But here is another thing that irritates me and other check backlinks users, I am sure. There are people who purchase SEO tools and use them to sell dresseson career sites and such. What we have is rubbish that not only exists on the net but is also highly ranked by search engines.
What is the public reaction to this? People Google SEO product reviews and will instead find disconnected content. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this mean that SEO product and service industry is harmful? Not necessarily.
The abusers of SEO products have to stop bastardizing the Internet but it’s like asking hackers to stop cracking the code. The bad side about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the prospect to be noticeable on the Internet that is given to the random dude like me. For now people just have to tolerate them. We can only hope that Google will put more effort into catching the schemers abusing SEO products, and if Google doesn’t, the future search engine will.
